If you are interested in an online only version of the Basic course, without the practical Zoom session, you can follow this link to purchase a discounted bundled including the simplified Basic course plus the Advanced Auriculotherapy course. The simplified Basic course includes the manual plus video demonstrations of the six protocols taught in that course. A thorough familiarity with that material will be sufficient to receive the benefit of this advanced training, but lacks the practical experience included in the full Ear Seeds& Basic Auricular Reflexology course.
The Course
We will take a deep dive into the physiological, psychological, and Chinese Elemental differentiations of various conditions. This will allow you offer your clients both Auricular treatments, plus lifestyle counselling, and emotional support in the transformation of both acute and long term patterns of disharmony.
Traditional Chinese and Western medical models both offer powerful insights into various patterns of disharmony. We will look through these and other lenses to explore possible interventions on many levels. The Auricular Therapy is a fast and non-invasive method for contacting the patient, and that point of contact can be deepened and expanded to almost any extent.
What you will learn
We will build upon the six conditions discussed in the Basic Auricular Therapy Class plus six more conditions. We will explore various aspects of these conditions to equip you to guide and support your clients' transformation on many levels. The Chinese Elemental model includes emotional and psychospiritual aspects that can be incorporated to offer a truly integrative treatment to your clients.
We will examine the associated energetics of many Auricular points and understand the rational behind Auricular point prescriptions. You will be able to begin to formulate your own point prescriptions.
Nutritional, lifestyle, relational, developmental, and spiritual aspects of these twelve conditions will all be considered. You will be able of address your client's needs on many levels, and design treatment protocols specific to their unique presentation.
The 6 Protocols discussed in The Basic Auricular course include:
1) Cravings: including smoking, alcohol, sugar; 2) Headaches; 3) Neck & Shoulder pain; 4) Insomnia; 5) Anxiety; 6) Digestive disturbances
The 6 additional Protocols discussed in this Advanced course will be:
1) Depression
2) Allergies
3) Immune tonification
4) Beauty and Healthy aging
5) Athleticism and fitness
6) Sexual function
Understanding these 12 conditions will allow you to begin to extrapolate your own point prescriptions.
In the practical section, you will have the opportunity to design and implement your own auricular treatment.
Your instructor
Dr. Kark brings to this material his many years of experience as a doctor of Oriental medicine and massage therapist, plus years spent teaching Traditional Chinese Medical theory, Western medical sciences, massage, and clinical supervision of acupuncture and massage students. Dr. Kark’s practice is integrative of acupuncture, massage, nutritional supplementation, psycho-spiritual integration, and meditation. He will share all of this with you in his presentation of the theory and practice of Auricular Reflexology.
